Helping others is not a burden, it is a privilege

Helping others is not a burden, it is a privilege…

If you read this statement aloud it might sound, at the very least, strange or bizzare. Why would it be a privilege when, maybe, we are in need of some kind of help too? We were recently given the opportunity to have our way of looking at life changed dramatically. Out of a sudden, our needs seemed to be more like a fad compared to the people that are indeed in need of help.

In the past days we had the opportunity to make a difference in a community located in the eastern part of Romania, in the county of Galati, which besides being a poor community, it has been struck by historical floods with the river Danube overflowing and taking even the little things that those people had leaving them with absolutely nothing to their name.

To say that we were humbled is an understatement. As you are able to see in the pictures the living conditions aren't suitable for an animal let alone people, especially elderly and children which might sound as a cliche but they are the most vulnerable category of people in our societies and we have made a mission to protect them as much as we can.

For the moment, we have started building 3 new houses which we are hoping that will be finished by the end of the year so that these 3 families will enjoy them for the Christmas Holidays.

In the end, we need to remember that there are no problems that we can’t overcome only opportunities from where we can learn and change our lives and those of the people around us that are less fortunate.

Nihil sine Deo!
